Stuffed Animal Field Trips – Ongoing from the Children’s Room

Ages 3 and Up

The library’s stuffed animals want to go on field trips! Check one out, bring them home, and add to their personal scrapbooks by writing about and taking pictures of the fun things you do together. When you’re at the library, you can visit the animals who have made it back to home base and see what they’ve been up to. Stuffed animals may be periodically rotated out based on condition.

Handmade Jewelry Workshop for Teens

Discover the art of beaded jewelry making with Bianca in this free 6-week course!

Learn techniques and stitches to create stunning beaded jewelry using seed beads, needles, and thread. After 6 weeks, you’ll have crafted a beautiful necklace, bracelet, and pair of earrings to take home with you.

No cost. All materials provided. Email teens@dobbsferrylibrary.org to register.

Bianca Medina is a Peruvian artist and instructor who has been teaching handmade jewelry making for 25 years.

Join us for a once-a-month kids’ book club! We read a new book every month, then meet discuss our thoughts and do a trivia battle against each other! This month, we will be reading Song for a Whale by Lynne Kelly.
