Ages 3 and Up

The library’s stuffed animals want to go on field trips! Check one out, bring them home, and add to their personal scrapbooks by writing about and taking pictures of the fun things you do together. When you’re at the library, you can visit the animals who have made it back to home base and see what they’ve been up to. Stuffed animals may be periodically rotated out based on condition.

Attend monthly meetings, earn volunteer credits, have a say in library programming and collection decisions, and more!

Join the Adult Lego Club!

Members will use our large collection of Lego pieces to make a unique creation according to the group theme or challenge!
Meetings:

Last Wednesday of each month from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Community room.

For parents and caregivers of babies up to 24 months.

Join children’s librarian Gina to learn songs, fingerplays, and more that you can do with your baby.  Each meeting will leave time for open discussion and connection with other parents/caregivers.

Visit our StoryWalk all Spring long, starting at the Keeper’s House and continuing toward Chestnut St. Available in Spanish and English.

Begins Thursday April 18th with our Kickoff event.

Ages 18-36 Months

Help your toddler find their breath and follow along as they flow through this little-kid-friendly practice with Pooja Mehta. The interactive yoga adventure will be having them move in a way that feels good and allows them to use their imagination as they stretch their body and calm their mind!

Kids ages 9 to 12 are invited to come in and learn from a peer about how to better fall and stay asleep. Participants will receive a free gift!

This 3-week class for teens and adults led by Elyse Schreiber will cover basic ukulele skills, including strumming, chords, and finger picking. You should be able to attend all 3 sessions. A limited number of ukuleles are available to borrow with a valid Westchester library card.

We’ll meet on Thursday May 9th, 16th, and 23rd at 6 pm in the Community Room at the Dobbs Ferry Public Library.

Are you interested in creative writing? Do you want to meet other writers and get inspired? Bring a poem, short story, or excerpt from your novel to share with the group. Get feedback and support each other.

This Week’s Craft – Mother’s Day Flowers

All Ages welcome.

Children read one-on-one with Buddy, a specially trained Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D.) and his handler, Dobbs Ferry resident Marty Kanengiser. Children will select a book to read to Buddy before the program begins, and they will spend 10-15 minutes reading aloud. They are also welcome to ask questions about Buddy, a 12-year-old rescued black lab who loves children, other dogs, and reading.
