Walk the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail, starting at the Keeper’s House at 15 Walnut Street, with our autumn storywalk: Agua, Aguita / Water, Little Water by Jorge Tetl Argueta. You can check out the storywalk all autumn long whenever you walk the trail.

Mary’s Yarns Crafting Group will be meeting in the Library Community Room.

1st Meeting of the Month: Quilting. Are you curious about the art of quilting? Do you want to see a beautiful quilt come together, piece by piece? Join us for Mary’s Yarnettes quilting class.

Whether you’re an experienced quilter or just interested in learning more about this timeless craft, we welcome you to come and enjoy a relaxing and informative evening with us.

2nd Meeting of the Month: Knitting & Crocheting. Join us for a wonderful gathering of creativity and community at the Dobbs Ferry Library’s crocheting and knitting group. This is the perfect opportunity to meet and chat with fellow crafters from your community.

Whether you’re an experienced knitter or crocheter, or just starting out, all are welcome! Come share your projects, exchange ideas, and enjoy a friendly, supportive atmosphere.

Even if we’re not working on a type of crafting you’re interested in, you are welcome to come and chat and work on your own projects!

Help your toddler find their breath and follow along as they flow through this little-kid-friendly practice with Pooja Mehta. The interactive yoga adventure will be having them move in a way that feels good and allows them to use their imagination as they stretch their body and calm their mind!

Each player will only attend once a week on either Wednesday or Thursday; your slot will be assigned by the library based on your availability, experience, and other factors. The club is spread across two days to accommodate as many members as possible and follows the Dobbs Ferry Schools calendar for vacations and days off. Please only sign up if you think you can attend most of the meetings.

Join us for a “killer” presentation from film-maker Keith Crocker! We’ll be looking at Ambrose Bierce’s An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge and Edgar Allen Poe’s The Tell Tale Heart, and their film adaptations to explore the power of both mediums, the written word and the cinematic image, and the difficulties encountered in transferring the written word to the big screen.

Twelve-year-old Neon Blue Greene is queen of the cafeteria, co-captain of the cheerleading squad, and has the most amazing dog any seventh grader could ask for. Mackenzie Carter has had some very bad dates lately. Model train experts, mansplainers, guys weirdly obsessed with her tail—she hasn’t had a successful date in months. Only a year out of residency, her grandmother’s obsession with Mackenzie finding the perfect mate to settle down with threatens to drive Mackenzie barking mad. Out of options, it feels like a small thing to tell her grandmother that she’s met someone. That is, until she blurts out the name of the first man she sees and the last man she would ever date: Noah Taylor, the big bad wolf of Denver General.

Noah Taylor, interventional cardiologist and all around grump, has spent his entire life hiding what he is. With outdated stigmas surrounding unmated alphas that have people wondering if they still howl at the moon, Noah has been careful to keep his designation under wraps. It’s worked for years, until an anonymous tip has everything coming to light. Noah is left with two options: come clean to the board and risk his career—or find himself a mate. The chatty, overly friendly ER doctor asking him to be her fake boyfriend on the same day he’s called to meet the board has to be kismet, right?

Mackenzie will keep her grandmother off her back, and Noah will get a chance to prove he can continue to work without a real mate—a mutually beneficial business transaction, they both rationalize.
