George Ochoa, a Dobbs Ferry resident, will do a reading from and sign copies of his new novel, Stranger Still, a thriller.
Paul Inster, a brilliant but troubled Columbia student, lives in a world of his own creation. Convinced that graduate student Tracy Iridio is his divine lover “Teresa,” Paul descends into a dangerous fantasy fueled by stolen glances and imagined connections.
When Tracy begins a relationship with classics professor Larry Post, Paul’s carefully constructed delusions start to crumble. Torn between his “goddess” and the harsh reality of her human desires, Paul spirals into a world where love and violence blur into a terrifying haze.
As Paul’s grip on reality weakens, the line between devotion and destruction blurs. Will he be able to distinguish between his fantasies and the truth before it’s too late? Or will his obsession lead to irreversible consequences for everyone involved?
