Scarecrows are Coming to the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail! (Registration)

Stake your claim with a scarecrow on the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail in a spirited new Halloween tradition for Dobbs Ferry, proudly sponsored by the Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library and the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct. Individuals and organizations are invited to join in the fun! Build your own scarecrow, or get a head start at our hands-on library workshop:

Scarecrow Building Workshop at the Library
Monday, September 21 | 6 to 8 PM
Get ready to imagine, create, and enjoy an evening of Halloween fun with fellow scarecrow builders.
Bring clothing, accessories, and other scare-cessories to give your scarecrow its own personality!
The Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library will provide burlap, head forms, and materials for creating your scarecrow’s head and facial details.
Space is limited to 15 participants.

Finish Your Scarecrow on the OCA Trail
Saturday, October 3 | Anytime between 10 AM and 3 PM
Meet at the Keeper’s House in Dobbs Ferry for a festive day of scarecrow building and community fun.
Pick up hay and supports, add the finishing touches to your scarecrow, and get help placing it along the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail for all to enjoy.
Family and friends are welcome to help mark this new Dobbs Ferry tradition!

All scarecrows must be registered with the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct. A $15 application fee applies. For registration and complete details, go here!
