Here is the definitive backstory of Steven Spielberg’s cinematic masterpiece that frightened beachgoers around the world. Learn how “You’re gonna need a bigger boat!” became part of the film. Learn how an overlooked scene from JAWS influenced Spielberg to make E.T. Learn about the volatile feud between two of the main actors. Learn how Spielberg reimagined the film when “the shark wasn’t working.” Learn how John Williams’ memorable musical score influenced the movie. Learn these facts and much more!

Comedy Open Mic (LIVE AT DIVINO’S)

Join us at our satellite comedy location, DIVINO’S SPEAKEASY IN HASTINGS-ON-HUSON – located 524 Warburton Avenue Hastings on Hudson, NY 10706, on the second Tuesday of every month at 8pm for our LIVE monthly Comedy Open Mic hosted by our resident Performer/Producer Tim Deery!
Following a traditional format, comedians new and old — who want to work on new jokes, change old ones, or just experiment — sign up and get 5 min. apiece to perform. Coming to work on your act at our monthly Mic’s could lead to a featured 5-10 min. spot on one of our Showcases, which we hold 3-4x/year in our DFPL Community Room (sits 75).
