First Annual Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct Scarecrow Trail (Registration)

First Annual Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct Scarecrow Trail (Registration)

Monday, September 21

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Let’s fill the trail with creativity, community, and a little scarecrow spirit!

Get a head start with building the head for your scarecrow! Participants are encouraged to bring clothing, hats, and other decorative items to create their unique scarecrow heads.

On October 3rd, at the Keeper’s House, the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct will provide a bale of hay and two wooden support stakes (one for the body and one for the arms), while New York State Parks staff will install each scarecrow along the trail and place a name sign identifying its creator.

The Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct registration and participation fee is just $15 per scarecrow. Limited to 15 people; registration is required. Call 914-693-6614 to register.

This program is made possible through the support of the Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library
