The club is spread across two days to accommodate as many members as possible and follows the Dobbs Ferry Schools calendar for vacations and days off. Winter Games History with the Lake Placid Olympic Museum via ZOOM (Registration)

Get ready for the 2026 XXV Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina! Join New York’s own Lake Placid Olympic Museum as they share historic images and artifacts from their collection that tell the story of the Olympic Winter Games, all the way from Ancient Greece to contemporary Italy. There will be a special focus on the two Games that were hosted in Lake Placid, NY: the first time in 1932 and again in 1980.
Other topics include:
- The founding of the Ancient Olympics in Greece
- The revival of the ancient Games in 1896
- How the Games were officially split by season into Winter and Summer Games in 1924
- Bringing the Olympic Winter Games to North America forever leaving its mark on Lake Placid
