Passport to Creativity: Zine Poetry Workshop for Tweens and Teens

Passport to Creativity: Zine Poetry Workshop for Tweens and Teens

Friday, April 7

2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Ages 8 to 14.

Step into a world run by rebel writers and rogue artists to make your very own zines! Zines are short, easily reproducible booklets with a rich history that can be on any topic. Learn how to make them, come up with an idea or expand a work of art you made earlier in the Passport to Creativity series, and create a zine that can be distributed through the library! All materials will be provided by the library, but feel free to bring anything extra that you’d like to use.

This program is part of the Passport to Creativity series, in partnership with other Rivertowns libraries. Those who attend these programs will receive a “passport” where they can keep track of attendance and enter a special contest!

Westchester County Youth Poet Laureate Harmony Hopwood will be visiting to help us choose poems to make zines about.
