BIO’S
CYNDY CECIL
Cyndy was giving a speech at a conference with the hopes to move people …make them feel something…to cry. They ended up laughing their butts off. Friends suggested she try stand up, so she did an open mic in a bathrobe. It bombed. Undeterred and one mic at a time, Cyndy turned chaos in comedy and now grabs every mic she can in New York City at night, while producing television and digital content for companies like Apple TV+, Nat Geo, FX, Hallmark Channel, Consumer Reports and more by day.

CARA AMORE
Cara’s material is based on her life experiences and daily happenings, as well as observations she’s made along the way. Cara’s sense of humor and charm make her a must see on the comedy circuit. Cara has performed at venues across the country and cut her teeth on the New York comedy scene at such venues as Governors Comedy Club, The Brokerage, Gotham Comedy Club and Broadway Comedy Club. Cara was a principal in the acting troupe “Improbable Players” dedicated to educating middle school aged children about alcohol and drug addiction. She was a semi-finalist in the Food Network’s “Next Food Star” and a principal player in the comedy and variety troupe The Italian Chicks. As a result of living a sober life, Cara believes her greatest accomplishment to date, is being a mom her son.

NINA MOZES
Nina Mozes is a comedian, writer, and curious nerd. She has performed stories for Kevin Allison’s RISK! True Tales, Boldly Told Show & Podcast, and her solo show “I’m Just Fine” ran at multiple theaters, including The Tank, The PIT, and in various festivals. When she isn’t telling jokes or writing, she is editing educational materials, some of which might be at our very library.

KELLY ZEMNICKIS
A Toronto-native and purveyor of funny things, movies & food, Kelly released her debut album Sugar N Spice & Smirnoff Ice in 2023! She will be recording her second album in Toronto in May 2025!

SUSANNA SPIES
Susanna Spies is a seasoned comedienne and actress who has been making the world laugh for decades. Credits include: E-One Entertainment, Uncontrolled Comedy, Netflix, Nuvo TV’s Stand up and Deliver, dozens of commercials, industrials and Indie films. When it comes to the stage Spies has received rave reviews for her recent one-woman show, Waisted, where it sold out in both NYC and LA in 2023, and previously The Dryer where she wrote and performed over 30 original characters. Spies has brought the house down with her witty characters at some of the stand up scenes most prestigious venues like The Improv in L.A., Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, and dozens of additional comedy venues nationwide. She also is Founder of Comedy Playground, LLC, where since 2002, she has taught thousands of youth, adults, senior citizens, and companies alike the universal language of humor and was featured in VARIETY as one of nation’s top ten leading innovators encouraging how to find the funny in everyday life!

Nathaniel has been the exuberant Musical Director behind a number of DFPL’s Stand Up Comedy Shows over the past few years.
What you may not know is that this multi-talented artist doubles as a published photographic superhero, wielding his Nikon and creating photo magic for clients world-wide. If you need professional, event, or individual photos – give him a shout!
