Bring your lawn chairs and join us under the stars at Dobbs Ferry Waterfront Park’s Concert Stage for our 11th FREE Stand Up Comedy Showcase (intended for 18+)

While the event is FREE, we will gladly accept ca$h donations for the performers (who are doing this event free for the library) on behalf of the Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Public Library.

transportation

by car: Parking regulations will be suspended between 7pm to 10pm at the Waterfront Park lot thanks to our Dobbs Ferry Police Department.
by rail: The park is located right next to the Dobbs Ferry Metro North Hudson Line train stop.

seating
We recommend bringing lawn chairs.  You are welcome to bring a picnic blanket, but the ground could be cold or wet and view obstructed by those in lawn chairs.  We will not be providing seating.  The show will begin promptly at 8pm and run til roughly 9:30pm.  As it is an open lawn seating area with no assigned spaces, we recommended arriving no later than 7:45pm.

food + drink
Hudson Social has some great food & beverage options and is located right across the parking lot.  Seating can get tight on weekends, so reservations are recommend (914) 478-3634.

restrooms
There are public restrooms located a short walk north of the concert stage.

filming
This event may be filmed.  Being as such, there is a chance that you could wind up in the recording at any given point.  If this is an issue for you, we recommend that you not attend, as we will not be able edit around individual preferences.

BIO’S
Mike Noble
Mike brings his unique bent on life as a Dobbs Ferry dad and True Crime Documentary Editor to his comedy.  Being from Hazard, KY, Mike’s crowning achievement as a youth was being held up by Daisy Duke (The Dukes of Hazard) to the crowd during a local parade. He is proud to say he will be gracing the same stage Butthole Surfers singer Gibby Haynes did (September 2022).

Shauna Lane
Shauna Lane is a New York City based actor and comedian known for her goofy, lovable characters and comedy.  As an actor she has been in several national commercials and is in the feature film Creedmoria on Netflix.  As a comedian she has appeared on Comedy Central, MTV, and Sirius XM. Shauna studied acting with the legendary Wynn Handman and has graced the stages of The New York Comedy Festival, The 10,000 Laughs Festival in Minneapolis, The Ct. Comedy Festival and the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.  She was the co-host of The Gone Girls Podcast from 2016-2020 and ran a monthly comedy show at New York Comedy Club called “We Share A Void.”

Tim Deery
Our resident Performer/Producer/Book Man, Tim has run 10 Stand Up Comedy Showcases, 57 Comedy Open Mic’s, 4 FerryCon‘s, 3 Local Filmmakers Spotlight‘s, and 86 Cult Classic Movie Night‘s for DFPL, which, if you’re keeping count, requires a lot of fingers & toes.  His latest on screen work includes a starring role as a vampire, who sucks, in the music video “Owen Is A Dracula” from Wolf Face.

David Beckles Jr.
David Beckles Jr. was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Barbados. When he returned to the US, he pursued Media & Communication Arts at the City College of New York.  Growing up a joke teller. his love for stand up comedy and acting led him to perform in several Shakespeare productions, most notably Othello. These days, David can be found honing his love of stand up and sketch comedy all around the tri-state area.

Alex Kollar
A Westchester-by-way-of-Queens comic, Alex began acting in 2009 and made a transition to standup in 2018.  In late 2019 he was runner up at the Empire State Comedy Competition, and has since been performing in the tri-state area, including at Levity Live, Laugh It Up Comedy Club, and Comic Strip Live, where he appears monthly.

Headliner: Matt Lopes
Matt is the House Comedian at Stress Factory Comedy Club in Bridgeport, CT, the Co-Host of the You Should Be Worried podcast, and a content creator on social media (TikTok 250k). His credits include 5th Borough Comedy Festival and Meadowlands Comedy Festival.
