Virtual Program: How to Survive Rising Food Prices (Registration)

If rising grocery prices have you concerned, this is the class for you. Participants will discover an abundance of ways to save money in the supermarket and learn about preparing meals that are budget friendly. In addition, ideas for saving money with meal planning will be presented as well as tips to save money at home and in the kitchen. Participants will be provided with low cost recipe ideas, learn about lower cost substitutions, and what basic staple foods to stock in their food pantry.

Presented by Janice Imbrogno, a home economist, educator, and presenter specializing in natural living and needle crafts. She was a family and consumer sciences teacher for 35 years. She now works with individuals and families, teaching them to use healthier and more natural products in the home.
Presented in collaboration with the Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, Tuckahoe, and Field and Yonkers Public Libraries.
Comedy Open Mic (LIVE AT DIVINO’S)

Join us at our satellite comedy location, DIVINO’S SPEAKEASY IN HASTINGS-ON-HUSON – located 524 Warburton Avenue Hastings on Hudson, NY 10706, on the second Tuesday of every month at 8pm for our LIVE monthly Comedy Open Mic hosted by our resident Performer/Producer Tim Deery!
Following a traditional format, comedians new and old — who want to work on new jokes, change old ones, or just experiment — sign up and get 5 min. apiece to perform. Coming to work on your act at our monthly Mic’s could lead to a featured 5-10 min. spot on one of our Showcases, which we hold 3-4x/year in our DFPL Community Room (sits 75).
