For parents and caregivers of babies up to 24 months.

Join children’s librarian Gina to learn songs, fingerplays, and more that you can do with your baby. Each meeting will leave time for open discussion and connection with other parents/caregivers.

Registration recommended but not required – email childrens@dobbsferrylibrary.org, call (914) 693-6615, or stop by the Children’s Room to sign up.

Ages 3-7

Author Karen Gardner will read a selection of the poems from The Writers’ Loft’s anthology Gnomes and Ungnomes: Poems of Hidden Creatures (2023), including her haiku “Centaur of Attention.” She’ll also encourage children to help find the hidden gnomes within the book. If those in attendance are feeling brave, she may venture with them into the “scary section” of the book. She also will have fun activities, including word searches for various levels and the opportunity to draw one’s favorite mythological creature.

Whether you knit, crochet, quilt, or enjoy other crafts, this welcoming group is the perfect place to bring your current project, share ideas, and connect with others in a relaxed, social setting.

Also, this group is willing to help!
