Dobbs Ferry Public Library’s Museum Pass Program
The Dobbs Ferry Public Library is teaming up with the following local venues to bring our patrons free museum passes and discounts.
All of these passes are made possible thanks to the Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library.
Here are the steps you can take to reserve your museum pass:
1. Call or visit the library with your valid (in good standing) Dobbs Ferry card number to reserve your date in advance (no more than 2 weeks). You must be 18 in order to reserve.
2. Pick up your museum pass at the Dobbs Ferry Reference Desk on your reserved date. NOTE: Some passes have specific instructions for use – be sure to read all accompanying information.
3. Return the museum pass, in person, 7 days later to the Dobbs Ferry Public Library during regular hours.
Empire Pass
We are now offering two FREE Empire Pass passes to use in New York State Parks
Each pass permits access for one vehicle.
Empire Pass permits unlimited vehicle access to most facilities operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Storm King Art Center
We are now offering two FREE passes to Storm King Art Center.
The pass will admit one six-person car to Storm King for free, limited to one ticket per day.
IMPORTANT: On checking out the DFPL pass, library patrons must follow Storm King Art Center’s Visit Guidelines for Library Members. Current calendar of Storm King ticket releases can be found here. Each pass will admit one-day admission for one vehicle.
Storm King Art Center is a 500 acre outdoor museum located in New York’s Hudson valley, where visitors experience large-scale sculptures and site-specific commissions under the open sky.
Stepping Stones Museum for Children
We are now offering one FREE passes to Stepping Stones Museum for Children.
This pass entitles holder to one free admission with each purchase of one admission at regular price. Maximum 3 free admissions per pass, per day.
The Stepping Stones Museum for Children serves as a hands-on museum specifically designed for children aged 10 and under.
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
We are now offering two FREE passes to The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
Each pass admits 4 adults or students. Two additional guests may admitted for $5.00 each; children 12 and under are admitted for free. At this time you need to make a reservation to visit.
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is the permanent home of a continuously expanding collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, early Modern, and contemporary art and also features special exhibitions throughout the year.
Hudson River Museum
We are now offering two FREE pass to the Hudson River Museum
The pass gives you:
Free admission for 2 adults and up to 6 children to the Museum’s galleries.
Free Planetarium OR Glenview Tour Tickets for 2 adults and up to 6 children.
15% discount at the Museum Shop.
The Hudson River Museum offers dynamic exhibitions of nineteenth-century to contemporary American art; Glenview, an 1877 Gilded Age home on the National Register of Historic Places; a state-of-the-art Planetarium; an indoor, environmental teaching gallery, Hudson Riverama; and an outdoor Amphitheater.
Mohonk Preserve
We now offer two vehicle passes to the Mohonk Preserve
Each pass gives you:
Parking for one vehicle
Free admission for up to 4 adults 16+
Children ages 15 and under are free but need to be accompanied by an adult
At the Preserve, you can enjoy scenic beauty, outdoor activities, and peace and quiet. Our carriage roads and trails are perfect for hiking, running, mountain biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing. We’re also the home of “Gunks” climbing and bouldering, and one of the most visited climbing destinations in North America.
Neuberger Museum of Art
The Neuberger Museum of Art at SUNY Purchase College is free to the public, no pass required.
The museum s a center of teaching and learning for all stages of life. Experience exhibitions of modern, contemporary and African art and art-inspired events in our Philip Johnson-designed building at the heart of Purchase College, State University of New York.
New York Public Library’s Museum Pass Program
Dobbs Ferry residents are also eligible to obtain library cards from the New York Public Library.
