100 Word Horror Type-In

100 Word Horror Type-In

Saturday, August 24

2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Click, Clack, Boo! Weird fiction writer, Luis Paredes, is hosting a 100-Word Horror Type-In at the Dobbs Ferry Library on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 2pm.

Attendees are welcome to use one of Luis’s vintage typewriters to craft their own 100-word horror story and learn how to submit the pieces for publication in print or online magazines with a handy submission guide written by the local author.

“Coming up with an idea is often a stumbling block for new writers, so I’ll provide several one-sentence prompts for attendees to use as inspiration,” said Luis.

Luis hopes the event serves as a way to (re)introduce attendees to the joys of distraction-free writing on a typewriter. He plans to host several more type-ins at libraries and other venues across Westchester later this year.

Registration is required and limited to the first eight eager typers who register here!
