On the evening of the Village of Dobbs Ferry, NY’s biggest event of the year, please join us to celebrate with our 12th FREE Stand Up Comedy Showcase (intended for 18+) in Dobbs Ferry Public Library’s Community Room (seats up to 75 people)!

Featuring comedians: Tom Padovano, Demetrius Woods, Tim Deery, Cooper Rego, Walter “Wojo” Deptuch, Cyndy Cecil and HEADLINER Dee Cee!!! (see bio’s below)

* Sign-up required • email dobref@wlsmail.org to sign up (max 2 people per sign up) • doors open 7:30pm – first come, first serve seating for sign-ups • at 7:50pm doors open to general public if there is still room • no pets (including service animals) allowed due to potential allergens in a close space

You are welcome to bring in outdoor food and/or drinks, as long as you clean up after yourself.

BIO’S
Tom Padovano
Tom has sold over 1,000 jokes and has performed on cruise ships, at comedy clubs, private parties, religious institutions, cafes, libraries, and places beyond description! He taught comedy at The Discovery Center in New York City and has written joke books for ventriloquists.

Demetrius Woods
Hailing from the diverse city of White Plains, NY, Demetrius’ distinctive blend of Black and Chinese DNA informs his unique perspective. With a magnetic stage presence, he has left audiences in stitches from acclaimed venues such as The Broadway Comedy Club to The Dixon Place. His comedy is a captivating mix of cultural insights and spot-on observational humor. Brace yourself for a hilariously refreshing take on life’s quirks and complexities whenever Demetrius hits the stage.

Tim Deery
Our resident Performer/Producer/Book Man, Tim has run 11 Stand Up Comedy Showcases, 62 Comedy Open Mic’s, 4 FerryCon‘s, 3 Local Filmmakers Spotlight‘s, and 87 Cult Classic Movie Night‘s for DFPL, which, if you’re keeping count, requires a lot of fingers & toes.  His latest on screen work includes a starring role as a vampire, who sucks, in the music video “Owen Is A Dracula” from Wolf Face.

Walter “Wojo” Deptuch
Walter is a New Jersey based comic, a member of Grizzly Guys Comedy, and a frequent sports content contributor to Lets Talks Sports, Face Off with Facemire and Draftvice. He performs frequently all over the tri-state area including on Levity Live’s Mic’d Up and at the Blackbox Performing Arts Center.

Cyndy Cecil
Cyndy was giving a speech at a conference with the hopes to move people …make them feel something…to cry. They ended up laughing their butts off. Friends suggested she try stand up, so she did an open mic in a bathrobe. It bombed. Undeterred and one mic at a time, Cyndy turned chaos in comedy and now grabs every mic she can in New York City at night, while producing television and digital content for companies like Apple TV+, Nat Geo, FX, Hallmark Channel, Consumer Reports and more by day.

HEADLINER: DeeCee
DeeCee is a Canadian who weaves his absurd perspective on relationships, parenting, social issues and working as a chiropractic physician into a twisted, yet relatable brand of humour. DeeCee is an international performer who has headlined in Chicago, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. He was a chosen performer in Season 13 of Kenan Thompson’s “Live Comedy Showcase”. He has opened for international headliners such as Neal Brennan, DJ Demers, Jocelyn Chia, Liz Miele, and Dwayne Perkins. His Comedy Album, “Chocolate Durian” is on Spotify. DeeCee is currently based in Chicago and performs regularly throughout the Midwest.
