Join us in our free, drop-in writing sessions. We will offer prompts that will help you generate new stories. This month, you can write about seasonal changes and special holiday traditions you or your characters will take in memorable and mysterious places.
Special Guest: Poet Mary Lindberg will give a talk on ekphrastic poetry and lead our writers in some seasonal prompts.
Mary K. Lindberg’s award-winning work explores links between art, music, dance, literature. Her poetry collection, Dance of Atoms, appeared last December (Oakledge Press, 2025). A chapbook, The Tang of Glue, came out in 2006 (Puddinghouse). Prize-winning poems have been published in Beloit Poetry Journal, Gallery&Studio, and The Ekphrastic Review, among others. Recent winner for the second time of the Grand Prize in the Dancing Poetry Contest (2026, 2021); she has also read her poems on NPR’s WNYC for April Poetry Month broadcasts. With studies at Oxford, she holds a Masters and PhD in English from New York University.
