‘Write From the Heart’! Creative Writing Workshop
Monday, October 28
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
REGISTRATION REQUIRED
In these workshops amateur writers may practice their writing in a collegial atmosphere. Attendees are given prompts such as quotes and photographs, and are encouraged to explore their creativity in brief writing excercises. They are then encouraged to read their pieces aloud to one another and give helpful feedback to clarify or improve each other’s writing.
This is open to the public and the only requirements are that you have an interest in creative writing and are an amatuer writer.
We are taking names for a waiting list. For more information contact srodgers@wlsmail.org.
Please contact the library at (914)693-6614 for more information or to register for a program.
Stuffed Animal Field Trips – Ongoing from the Children’s Room
Sunday, July 3
All Day
Ages 3 and Up
The library’s stuffed animals want to go on field trips! Check one out, bring them home, and add to their personal scrapbooks by writing about and taking pictures of the fun things you do together. When you’re at the library, you can visit the animals who have made it back to home base and see what they’ve been up to. Stuffed animals may be periodically rotated out based on condition.
