Passport Acceptance Facility

Application acceptance services for a new* U.S. Passport are now available at the Dobbs Ferry Public Library. Was your existing passport issued more than 15 years ago? Are you changing from a passport for a minor (under age 16) to a passport for an adult (age 16 and over)? If so, come to the library to process your new* passport application.

*Please note that renewals for existing non-expired passports (adults age 16+, issued within the last 15 years) can only be submitted by the applicant via United States Postal Service.

STEP ONE:
Visit the U.S. Department of State - Bureau of Consular Affairs website. Find out what documents and forms you will need, fill them out, print them and bring in to your appointment. Here you will also find regularly issued travel warnings and information on U.S. Embassies.
For those with proof of departure within 14 days, you must apply in person at a passport agency. Appointments are required. For a list of passport agencies, visit the U.S. Department of State - Bureau of Consular Affairs website.
