While the event is FREE, we will gladly accept ca$h donations for the performers (who are doing this event free for the library) on behalf of the Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Public Library.

MIKE MUNARI
Born and raised in Nyack, New York. Does comedy in the Hudson Valley and New York City. Cameraman moonlighting as a clown. Allergic to bees.

ELIANA JOHNSTON
Eliana is a comedian and actress, who performs standup all around the Hudson Valley and New York City, including venues such as The Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and The Producers Club.  She has also performed in The Ladies Room and Hudson Valley Comedy festivals.

HOST – TIM DEERY
Our resident Performer/Producer, Tim has run 13 Stand Up Comedy Showcases, 73 Comedy Open Mic’s, 4 FerryCon‘s, 3 Local Filmmakers Spotlight‘s, and 93 Cult Classic Movie Night‘s for DFPL, which, if you’re keeping count, requires a lot of fingers & toes.  His latest on screen work includes a starring role as a vampire, who sucks, in the music video “Owen Is A Dracula” from Wolf Face.

JAMES MURPHY
James Murphy, or “Murf” to his adoring fans, began doing comedy at The Improv and Gotham City in 2002 and was a founding member of the troupe Crux.  He appeared in pilots Skels and Among the Joneses and began focusing on standup in 2012 at theaters, comedy clubs, restaurants and coffee shops all over the tri-state area.

DAVE SHAY
Philadelphia-based comedian Dave Shay performs at comedy clubs and colleges all over the northeast. He has been a finalist at Tribeca Comedy Festival and Philly’s Phunniest.  His first album, coming in Summer 2024, is called Lapsed Catholic.

Children read one-on-one with Buddy, a specially trained Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D.) and his handler, Dobbs Ferry resident Marty Kanengiser. Children will select a book to read to Buddy before the program begins, and they will spend 10-15 minutes reading aloud. They are also welcome to ask questions about Buddy, a 12-year-old rescued black lab who loves children, other dogs, and reading.
